AIL’s aluminum culvert pipe products have a long history of proven performance with predictable design service life expectancies of over 75 years, when installed in the recommended soil/water environment.
Aluminum pipe to the core
The aluminum alloy used in our Corrugated Aluminum Pipe products is specially formulated to resist the effects of corrosion and abrasion. It features an aluminum alloy core, clad on both sides with alloy 7072, which is anodic to the core alloy – protecting it both physically and electrochemically against corrosion and abrasion.
A “self-healing” corrugated metal pipe surface
This aluminum-on-aluminum combination is enhanced by the tough oxide film that naturally develops on the pipe’s surface when exposed to air. This tenacious film is difficult to remove, and if the aluminum culvert pipe is scratched, it reforms or “self heals” immediately after the abrasion occurs.

Our aluminum culvert pipe has a long history of proven service performance in applications like culverts, drainage systems, stormwater management systems, fish passages, culvert relines and other applications. It is available in many of the same profiles, fittings and accessories as our Corrugated Steel Pipe.
