Super-Cor is ideal for medium-sized bridge construction applications.
Super-Cor combines the advantages of lightweight construction with the superior strength and durability of deep-corrugated galvanized steel to create buried arch bridge spans that can reach 25 m (82′).
The larger annular corrugations in Super-Cor Structural Steel Plate provide nine times the stiffness of conventional plate, allowing it to withstand the heaviest of loads. Not only is Super-Cor the most versatile and economical corrugated metal plate on the market, it is also the most internationally accepted and widely used.
Super strong, flexible and resilient buried arch bridges
Buried arch bridges, tunnels and other structures made from Super-Cor carry loads through soil-structure interaction, meaning the bridge and the backfill soils act together to support the loads. Settlement tolerances for buried arch bridges are much higher than that of buried concrete bridges, allowing for lower foundation costs.
Box culverts offer increased clearance and flow
Super-Cor box culverts offer optimal clearance boxes and hydraulic flow geometry along with shallow covers for low-rise applications.
Recommended for bridge construction and other applications
Super-Cor is recommended for bridges, tunnels, grade separations, road or rail overpasses, stream crossings, box culverts, culvert relines, portals, canopies and storage structures.
Discover the many benefits of buried arch bridges
