This Corrugated Steel Pipe ski tunnel will pass under a new road that connects to chalet lots being developed at Crabbe Mountain Ski Resort in western New Brunswick.
The new passage is expected to be ready for the 2024/25 ski season. Users of the “Family Trail” will soon be able to safely ski and snowboard through the new tunnel.

Navigating the constraints of a low budget required some creative problem solving. One notable success was identifying a freight company capable of accommodating a 20 m pipe on a single truck, as standard trucking typically allows for a maximum of 16.15 m. This solution saved the owner several thousand dollars, demonstrating our team’s commitment to cost efficiency without compromising quality.
The ski tunnel featured bevelled ends to contour to the landscape and increase user safety.
The client’s satisfaction was evident through the positive feedback shared during an open house event held in November. We are excited about the potential for future collaboration with Ski Crabbe Mountain as they have plans for further development, including two additional crossings.
